Summer School

The AMIR Summer School is part of the Advanced Materials Innovative Recycling (AMIR) master programme and is open to both first and second year students from AMIR and other EIT RawMaterials labelled master programmes. The Summer School aims to facilitate the development of our students professional integration and career perspectives in the market of raw materials, innovation and related ecosystems. It is also an opportunity for students to develop their personal networks and meet AMIR Programme alumni.

The 2023 AMIR Summer School “Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy” took place in Bordeaux from 19th to 21th of June.

What will be covered

  • Expert insights on topics such as the public funding of innovation, intellectual property rights and industry management tools
  • Interview training
  • Networking opportunities with AMIR Industrial partners and AMIR alumni
  • A visit to a local research and development centre with strong links to the advanced materials and composites sector

Expertise and Experience you will gain

Students will broaden their knowledge and skills regarding industrial and economic intelligence in the field, which will facilitate their professional insertion into the raw materials sector. Students will benefit from regular exchanges with their peers and will be able to confront and confirm their ideas, needs and experiences. Students will take part in intensive networking with leading industrial partners, start-ups and incubators and match-making meetings are organised between students and potential recruiters for ongoing discussions on job opportunities upon graduation. A certificate of participation will be given to all students upon completion of the course.
